December 2011 Thank you for everyone's support to host our first Arts in the Afternoon Gala. Special thanks for Bob Headland of Kiwanis, Diane Gordon, one of our School Board Members, and Rachelle Oberlin, an AFCS parent, for their help in making our Gala event a success.

October 2011 The owner of Mona Lisa's Italian Restaurant (in Little Italy of San Diego) and staff relative recently donated to our general school fund. Thank you for supporting education!	November 2011 The Rotary Club of La Jolla visited our school during November and donated dictionaries to our students. Students wrote letters thanking the Rotary Club and e-mailed them.

August 2011 Bob Headland is a Kiwanis member who donated to our charter school uniform fund. People like Bob are helping our school ensure it's success.	September 2011 Esther Brackett donated to our charter school uniform fund. Esther is the great-grandmother of one of our teachers.
